Mission
Established in January 2024, the Empathy Collective was the first youth-led digital archive. Launching open calls for multimedia storytelling submissions around the world and interviewing oral histories of artists and experts in history, anthropology, and global studies, we wanted to create a kinder and open-minded future through cultural exchange and technology for social good. In our local community, we organized workshops, advisory lessons, and testimonies based on the issues, bills, and practices that mattered to us. Our role as student advocates inspired us to launch community studios, forming lifelong friendships and understanding between youth around the world. Currently, we are part of the larger TechGirls Community Action Project network that leads leadership and STEM programming across 40+ countries.
